I have not tried the habala-pethi. Thanks for the description.. Strange though.. My mother had some paddy fields in Kurunegala when we were very young and we used go to `kamatha` and watch the meeharakas going round and round all night (`kola paganawa`) as kids. I can not recall habala pethi at all.
Where can you buy these things ? Never too late to taste it eh ?
