These two .. Pakkiasothy Saravanamuttu, and Jehan Perera says `no lessons learnt`. True enough .. they will articulate the `position` which their NGO Masters expect them to make .. and it has nothing very much to do with `their anguish` for the country or its peoples. (There are a few more like them .. no more than `dollar kaakkas`).
On the other hand the disastrous program of violence un-leashed by a trusty of JR Jayawardene`s in July `83 has brought about a lot of `soul-searching` .. on ways and means to bring about a `settlement` to the problems that stand between the two major communities.
A reasonable approach .. talks and power devolution .. has been advanced by GOSL. (But it is `tempered` with experiences from the past .. first, the LTTE must agree to `giving up` its pretence-ful military trappings ..).
It is for the LTTE leader-ship to `take up` this Offer .. and see how far they can `go` with it, in achieiving a measure of self-government that is satisfying .. while agree-ing to the GOSL demand, that Unity of the State of Sri Lanka must not be compromised.
