This is true. It was indeed a shameful day for Sri Lankans but every cloud has a silver lining.
I remember very well that the tamil family living opposite our house spent that night in our house. By chance ,I met one of the boys (who was only 3 or 4 at the time) when he came to my office on work, a couple of months ago. We had a nice chat although he couldn`t remember too much of the incident. I know of so many such cases but as Special Force said, no one has come out with it. It must realised that non-tamils were taking the risk upon themselves when they opened there doors. But I`m proud that my parents took it upon themselves.
