[Not so sure...Karuna helped them to get east..Pillayan is the present CM also appointed by the Gosl..it is hard to annoy one and support the other.. ]
Look for the tense, `helped`. In Sri Lanka past is always something doesn`t exist in the minds of politicians. Otherwise how can they keep changing their political parties on monthly basis? Unless Karuna is important for some tactical reasons in northern theater, GOSL will not pay much attention to him. Same goes for newly appointed CM, all the hype while it is hot and will be forgotten once dust settled.
