1-4 base is not a single base. It is named after a string of bases in that region of Mullaitivu.
The claim that the SLA captured 1-4 base is pure deception by the SLA. They probably captured one of the string of bases. Since then we haven`t heard anything more about it because all the other bases in the 1-4 chain are still in LTTE hands.
I thought Janaka Perera recently confirmed this but the sinhalas are deafened by Ponnaseka`s lies and deceptions to hear the real truth.
