Velir, LTTE strategically withdrew from the East and confined itself in Vanni in a defensive mode - In this way, it keeps in tact of its combatants. Even after more than 6 months of offensive, SLA could not penetrate into LTTE control area. Mahinda and his goons could not deliver the victory that he has promised to Appugamis. It is a political victory for LTTE. |
