] Sure , I remember how he first came since I gave him the logistics to come to Sri Lanka.:) Kural, You forgot that Vijaya was not Singhalese. Of course according to mythology Singhalese are decendents of a person called Vijaya. So if you believe the story from Mahavamsa then one has to accept that what is told in Mahavamsa is true. The modern history is history written chronologicaly on scientific basis. The arrival of Portuguese to Sri Lanka is not a myth . Simillarly Sankili killing 600 Tamils is also not a myth. So barbarism of Tamil culture was well proved in modern history of Sri Lanka than mythology of Mahavamsa. Furthermore genetic studies show that Tamils of Sri Lanka are decendents of Sighalese contrary to the common beleife that they are pure Dravidans. [Genetics studies now shows that Sri Lankan Tamils carry 55-58% of Singhalese genes and only 28% of Indian Tamils and 16% of Bengali. Singhalese carry 65% of Indian Tamil genes and 25%of Bengali. This is a proof that the so called Tamils of the North are the Singhalese who absorbed the Tamil Language. ] |
