[Good question! When a person`s livelihood is challenged his dignity is challenged because your at the mercy of others. State might not realize this as its existence has depended of handouts of the international community.
When a person is displaced: his or her dignity is challenged as he or she is a refugee in his own land. When the law of the land does not protect you and your living in constant fear of being harassed, robbed and murdered by the state and you have no recourse through the law your right to live with dignity as a human being is being challenged. These are global examples and hope you get the picture and wont have to spoon-feed you.] Since 1980 it is due to VP and the LTTE we lost dignity & peace. Sri Lanka is only one leader away from prosperity. By killing Premadasa LTTE dashed the best hope we had in the past twenty years. Also Premadasa was the most minority friendly leader we ever had. So there you go. LTTE is mainly responsible for the problems Sri Lanka face since 80s. |
