] Have they abandoned the Tamil Eelam concept and want to live in Sri Lanka now? The war brought indignity to Tamils. Tamil racism was the root cause of ethnic disharmony in the country starting with 50:50 demand and protesting Singhalese coming to dry zone, when Singhalese did not have any conflict with the Tamils for 400 years prior to that. If every ethnicity wants to control their own lives it will be like Pakistsn /Afghanistan border with Pashtuns. Democracy is rule of the majority safe guarding minority rights. When Minority disregards the majority rights through racism ,then unfortunately they get beaten up from left to right, as politicians whether minority or majority are nothing but opportunists. |
