Jayalalitha Poonac. This is how homeland is being run.

[January 22, Chennai, Sri Lanka Guardian) A General Secretary of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), Miss J. Jayalalithaa on Tuesday said the DMK government headed by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi had lost control over the law and order situation in Tamilnadu.

Reiterating her demand that the Centre should immediately dismiss the Tamilnadu government, Jayalalithaa said, in a statement, that the LTTE men had been having a free run following the Chief Minister?s eulogy over the death of their leader Tamilselvan.

?They are involved in dangerous activities like procuring raw materials for arms.?

Stating that the police department had become a hub of bribe, the former Chief Minister said ?reports in the media are claiming that a traffic constable collects Rs 20,000 per day as bribe.?

She said the amount was being shared by other senior police officers up to Assistant Commissioner Level.

?Things are worse in the law and order wing of the police. Some shops in Mambalam area are being pressurised to give Rs two lakh per day as bribe to the police station attached.?

Citing the family members of Karunanidhi as the reason behind the deterioration of the police department, Jayalalithaa said some police officers were getting key posts after they greased the palms of the Chief Minister?s kith and kin.

The AIADMK supremo also said she had many a times warned that the country was facing a severe threat from the LTTE. ?But Karunanidhi has put my warning into cold storage?.]
