I may live overseas. But, I am much closer to SL than many in this forum. I am from down south and visit often. I cannot say that I know every single person in SL. But, I am with my friends / family in SL which I think is a fair representation of SL population in terms of political position. Chauvinism does not bring true peace and harmony. This only divide people further. All our leaders (political and military) prefer a political settlement. Question remains on the extent of power devolution, not if we need a solution. I think we are way past that.
We have extremist ideologies. JVP and JHU prefers to go back to way it was by hook or crook. LTTE prefers total separation. Each side help other`s cause.
