Almost everyone buys everyone; anyone who works for a salary is bought, if you like it or not. ((They will do anything in their power just to win converts and when people stand up to their fanaticism and bible thumping they scream from the rooftops as if they are the victims. )) Agreed. Any form of fanaticism is bad, the Southern Christian nutcases in America is a terrible menace. But why limit extremism just to Christianity? Extremism in any form is bad as it is amply demonstrated in different parts of the world, be it Christian, Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim, Hindu or anything else. The problem is not the religion, it`s how people interpret it for their own advantage. In most cases to control other people and get them to do their bidding. A man doesn`t need a religion to attain enlightenment. But the question still remains, why does Mahinda send his children to a Christian school not to a Buddhist one? As a father I am sure he is doing what he think is best for his children! |
