ANAL WAY....
Once again im asking you a VERY SIMPLE question. What should be the purpose of Presidental visits to other countries spedning MILLIONS from TAX payer Money? [IS IT 1. to meet leaders of those other countries for Foreign relations OR 2. to attend Temples and social Gatherings? ] Just look at the International standing we hand during the time of Laxman Kadirgama and RW. Compare that time with Today - 1. Many European countries have stopped all aid to SL. 2. Some countries like the US are considering Sanctions against SL. 3. World refusing to give aid So we have to go and get aid from Private banks at interest rates as HIGH AS 7.5%. During the tokyo donor conferance we were offered 4.5 BILLION Rs for interst rates as low as 1-2%. 4. World leaders are REFUSING TO even give an appointment to MR. In a situation like this - what should be the main goal of MR be? Visiting temples and socializing with SL expatriates at TAX payer expense???? As for your long repeat about some PRADEEP GUNAWARDENA. i dont know who this guy is. But i also can claim that i know this person and that person and he did this and that. i can also relate how MR behaved when he visited Kuwait as Minister of Labour without his wife and then what he did to the house maids who came to visit his Hotel room!! there are Plenty of roumours we can go into. And that will be no end. I really dont mind having that conversation with a person of the mental capacity of Gamiya - but i seriously dout you would want to get into a discussion like that wit me. As for this `TREMENDOUS JOB` the presidents cousin has done in LA. im sure this is comming from an UNBIASED source. thats why we should keep our discussions on to things that can be varified (unless ofcourse your Gamiya). Thats why i stick with whats on newspapers (except with Gamiya) Just curious - did that Monk get hotel rooms for all the participants of those cultural shows and trade shows. :) :) You keep repeating that that thing was highly beneficial and this thing was amazing and all. but can you show me a figure. For axample can you shows me how much Foreign investment these `highly Beneficial` events the presidents cousin has organized has brought in. there has to be someway to measure. if you cant measure the benefis something - then there is no point in doing it. The previous UNP govt foreign policy can be measured: 1. Tokyo Donor conferance. 2. Military aid (Ofcourse patrol vessel, training) etc. 3. Tried to enter into a FTA but could not complete. 4. Foreign Investment- Hyatt to name a few things. And all this was done with the minimal of cost (for example - he didnt bring 65 Personal stooges from SL on first class and put them up in Luxuary hotels at Tax payer expense). Can you please list some QUATIFIABLE foregin policy success of MR please? Eagerly awaiting your response. |
