There can be no peace with the LTTE as long as separatism is its cause and terrorism is its means.
The day Tamil nationalists at home and abroad begin to realize the true aspirations of Sri Lankan Tamils and negate its current course for a policy which promotes peace and unity, we may have a start towards a place called hope. If hope is not a solution, then what is? The sensible majority of Tamil people want to feel and be treated as fair and equal citizens of this country, not segregation and certainly not terrorism of the LTTE kind. Is that too much to ask for? |
