The doctors in your neighbourhood are not `knowingly` helping drug companies... they prescribe what they think is the best because these drug companies market their products very well...
if you take the stuff manufactured at SPMC... they are not marketed to the doctors, end consumers or the pharmacists properly... People including the doctors buy into the image created by the bigger brands... Doctors also should think and be more practical rather than be interested in better packaging etc when it comes to medicine.. and the other thing is...even if the doctors prescribe drugs with their generic names... Pharmacists can easily rip off the consumer by giving an expensive brand since he gets a better cut from them... If this report is only about government hospital medical supplies... some of my points won`t be that accurate :) |
