Capturing Vanni won`t be as easy as the east. Even now what has happened in the east - MR has captured and given it to Karuna who runs his own administration, exactly like he was doing when he was in the LTTE. And Karuna is probably more ruthless than VP - Remember, the Pettah and Maradana bombs came from the east the mosque massacres and killing of the surrendered policemen all occured in the east. So the east victory is only a victory for Karuna. I say now and will continue to say this: Military solution will be impossible, and even if achieved will be shortlived. PCs are a joke. More duty free Pajeros and waste of funds. The PCs in the rest of the country should be abolished and the North East (as one or two) should have autonomy of some degree. Then you will see the difference. You may now say RW is a traitor. But it is because of his peace accord that Karuna split from VP. During times of peace these things are more likely to occur. |
