Thank you Patrioticson.
The solution must flow from myself. I am Sri Lankan for Sri Lankan and Tamil for Sinhalese. Patrioticson, racism is not all bad. It has both sides - the good and the bad. Where we can influence from within, we need raise the level of thinking to the National level or if there is some kind of state system, to the State level. As a Tamil, I feel that the more we take the Objective approach through money-related projects, the less the risk of war. I do not know of one single Tamil who has expressed extreme animosity towards a single Sinhalese. It is more at the group level - blaming others when something goes wrong. Both sides are guilty of this. Tamils have suffered due to subjective decision making by the Sinhalese in government and higher positions. But that has changed vastly now, with more and more Tamils speaking out. If we can direct them to be objective, we would lose consciousness of this subjective group thinking which has failed. But when it comes to non-money related activities - or parts of the activities that are not related to money, we need to consciously divide ourselves as per ethnicity and vote on the issue. This is not different to the voting for parliament system. We feel and vote - at least those who vote on the basis of Truth do. If we `think` / calculate and vote - then we lose the value of `subjective` system. In my mind I voted for Ranil in the Presidential elections and in my mind, Ranil has won. Ranil will be president if he acts like one - irrespective of the position he holds. The subjective system is based on Love which knows no logic and the objective system is based on Truth which has to have logic. But that `secular` system tends to stagnate at the level of conscious education that people have. That is the world of thinkers. Simply stated, the subjective system is the system of mothers and the objective system is the system of fathers. Mothers are feelers and fathers are thinkers. Those who experience pain first feel. Those who seek pleasures first are thinkers. I recommend an educated and structured use of both which would include race based voting where majority have not invested consciously in an issue. love gaja |
