I think both sides don`t believe each other, and they will never talk to each other frankly, so I don`t see a meaning to talk, actually they won`t talk for some time to come.
War will continue and one day morning you and I will get to hear the tragic news for one side, not necessarily for ltte.
If you look in to the incidents like huge trucks full of explosive, you will get an idea, what it will be like once hardliner president is gone, or on the other hand what is will be like once ltte`s current leadership gone.
