Anecdotal evidences without understanding issues is silly!!
I knew a Sinhalese girl, her grandfathers generation were dhobies, she fell in love with a high cast Sinhala christian. Boy loved her and wanted to marry her too. Sadly the parents of this Boy refused marriage to this girl purely based on caste. I am not making it up its true! The girl didnt marry. Then the boy marries a another girl from the same caste, after few years marriage fails. By then the father of the boy dies and the boy got married to this girl at last. Really sad broken first family with children etc, big mess, created by caste system within Sinhalese too.
Theres a lot of cleaning to do on your side too. They say dont throw stones if you live in a glass house, moral of the story.
