The government invites the dislodged North Eastern people back to the lodges in Colombo and has made appropriate arrangements for the re-settlement. This is a decision the President has taken in response to criticism by alternative democratic leadership and alternative parties. Would the Tigers take a similar decision in respect of Muslims evacuated from the North? Muslims were evacuated by the LTTE without giving any notice.
Several sections of the people have made several appeals so far, but of no avail. The question remains as to whether the LTTE would invite the Muslims who lived for generations in Jaffna, back in to their former homes?
Who would come forward to raise the question in this regard? Would those advocates who raise concerns on behalf of the people evicted from Colombo lodges, raise questions towards the LTTE reminding it to extend invitation to the evacuated Muslims?
