[Sri Lanka Army (SLA) evicted the last remaining Tamil family living inside the High Security Zone (HSZ) in Valigamam North last week, sources in Jaffna said. The family remained inside the HSZ through the widespread evictions in 1990, and through the 1995 exodus.
K. Rajathurai and his wife from Thaiyiddi in Valigamam North have been living inside the HSZ for the last 17 years.
The old couple have no relatives in Jaffna and is undergoing severe hardship, according to sources.]
