I have never hidden that fact. [Why these bloody foriegners are interfereing with our Sri Lankan problems.] This has become a Sri Lankan issue and concerns Tamils for two reasons: a) Srilanka has occupied the historic lands of the Tamils. If it gives up what does not belong to them it wont be a Srilankan issue. b) Tamil is not a nationality but a language. Used as mother tongue by a specific group of people. Every Tamil around the world is united by this bond. When the mere existence of this group is challenged in any part of the world it does matter. |
