[No, artillery shells can`t be float.
To the news briefing that I have got, SLN found only the empty wooden boxes which used to store artillery shells and on those boxes clearly marked what type of shells store in them.

Hmm then it seems that tamil net and nationalinsecurit.lk may have been right, both claimed the ship was heading out to sea, so guess they unloaded their cargo?

To add to that the SLDF claimed the LTTE Sea Tiger action prior to this incident near trinco was a distraction. Now they only carry out such distractions during iunloading. So if this ship did contain 10,000 artillery rounds, I think it is safe to safe the LTTE now have them and the ship was returning after unloading?? Any ideas?
