I agree with you .. the tigers cannot be tamed at this present moment in time purely with military might. However I think their conventional fighting ability is now entirely restricted to the northern regions. The tigers WERE the symptom back in the eighties and nineties, the SL government was definitely the cause.. however, at this present moment in history Mr.Blake believes they are (majority wise) the cause: [..`` As for the LTTE, I cannot say if they are committed to peace. Their record of 20 years shows they have never seriously pursued the peace option. The government will have to soon give them a chance to see if they are ready to negotiate in good faith. ``..] It is highly unlikely the Tigers will declare UDI now .. they need the EAST which is really the golden egg in the EELAM basket. If you remember .. yourself and I, some months back exchanged quite a few meaningful comments regarding a solution.. I still believe that is the way to go..
