Lot of Sri Lankans were fooled by the JVP propaganda that LRRP Units were disbanded & lists given to the LTTE during the CFA period. Those in the Security establishment know very well, that its a total lie, but being Servicemen, cannot say so openly. [You do not have a safe house 100 miles away]. For Katunayaka attack,LTTE safe house was in Kurana. Logically, if the Security establishment was to have a safe house for Operations in the Easy, it could have been some where very close to the Manampitiya Bridge, unless operating from a camp was considered undesirable.
But, trying to educate an illiterate bunch is a useless exercise, becasue `Goebbelian Propaganda has worked well on a willing set of people who wish to be fooled!
Mangala S has now admitted [not then] that the real war against the LTTE is at the International Forum. That`s where RW did real damage to the LTTE, an area VP was vulnerable & made sure RW lost the PE of 2005.
How many more innocent lives have to be sacrificed before `Sinhalaya Modaya` is enlightened?
