[ThinKing, I said there is no Tamil SC judge implying out of 11 now none is a Tamil. I was not talking about 2001, which is obvious. When I said there have never been any member of the minority community as the leader I meant the SL history. I am also pointing out the dangerous trend of keeping the minorities out of important and key positions. Things are getting worse, it is on a dangerously declining slope.] Thats rubbish! If there was no Tamil Supreme court justice(or any other key official) for last 10 years, then your argument is correct. `cos there is not a one as of today(thats also only in the SC) how can there be a trend?? BTW if you are not talking about propotionate distribution of positions, why are you talking about TAMILS in Key Positions? What I believe is there should be correct/ educated people in the Key Postions irrespective of the race! Do you recon in Singapore when people are appointed to key govt positions do they consider if there should be representation of all the races or do they appoint based on the qualification? |
