They will attack SLDF anywhere because they and LTTE are the antogonists. Tamils are persuaded not to work in te Tamil areas for their own safety.
I am not suggesting quotas. Tamils and Muslims have been in national politics ever since the British colonial period, don`t you know they(Pramanathan, P arunchalam, Akbar, GGP, Sundaralingam, Sittampalam, and many more) all fought for independance and served in the cabinets.
It is the mentality of the Sinhala Buddhists that kept other communities at bay. It was not a big issue to enact Tamil is also an Official Language in NE ( with less than 1 million people Singapore has 4 official languages), but, Sinhala Buddhists wanted to keep the minorities away from power sharing. That is why communities in Sri Lanka are still fighting among themselves.
