[Vultures that jump from one party to another shouldn?t be allowed to decide the political path of the country! ? JVP]
29th January 2007 - 04:00 S.L.T) Political vultures that change colour, jump from one party to another only for their personal gains and thereby destabilize the country should be blotted out of existence. These vultures should not be allowed to decide which direction the politics of the country should move states a communiqué issued by the JVP on the cross over of Parliamentarians of the UNP. Also, politics of those who take in such vultures, alleging that it was necessary for a strong government, should be decisively beaten. These bankrupt political agendas don?t contribute to build a ?new Sri Lanka ? states the communiqué issued by the Political Bureau of he JVP. The time has come for the progressive, democratic, anti-separatist, anti-terrorist and anti-communalist masses to rally to defeat the vile attempts of obliterating before the political vultures the clear mandate given by the patriotic people at the Presidential Election of 2005. It states that the time has come for the patriotic people and forces to organize around the JVP to avoid the country being taken towards re-colonization but on a path that is favourable to the country and the people. |
