4 stroke is the way to go on the pollution front - for the reasons well explained by Dauntless above. Also, the other major contributor to SL pollution problem is the heavy reliance on diesel for fuel. GOSL should phase in a bigger tax on diesel or reduce tax on petrol to encourage petrol use over diesel. Obviously both do contribute pollution to the atmosphere but diesel is far worse than petrol.
