Tamils suffered 50 years of riots and gavernments organised pogroms. Sinhalese had a monopoly on killings for 30 years since 1956 and equality in terrorism was achieved by Tamils in 1983.
The question is, can Sinhalese butchers annihilate 25% of the population? Will the world community watch Tamils being burnt alive as was in 1983, thanks to the foreign cameras? What was the purpose of UN acquiring powers to stop genocide by infringement of state sovereignity?
Buddhist fundamentalism will have to realise there are limitations on hegemonic ambitions.
