V Ananthasangaree sees no benefit from this de-merger. The benefits are 1. One more ex-army (Sinhalese) officer will be appointed as the Givernor of Nothern PC. 2. After the PC elections are held there will be another Chief Minister and 5 more Ministers in addition to 8 Chief Ministers and 40 Ministers and the adheared administrative officers. Daily Mirror reports that there is a shortage of qualified education officers in SL, this will put more pressure on the need to train more officers. To pay for these (wasteful) bureucracy the President will order to print more currency notes to fuel an increase of inflation which is 19.3 in Dec 2006. There is a press report that Sri Lankan govt is importing stamps from Tamil Nadu to meet the shortage. SLG may start importing more paper to print more currency notes. More production means more jobs and less unemployment. Our president is a genius. |
