[The LTTE would find it impossible to declare indpendence if the IC was united in hostile opposition. HOwever if the IC can be made to see that the GOSL is reckless and irresponsible and itself a danger to stability, the LTTE would have much more room to proceed towards statehood. The MR regime is the best ally of the LTTE in that sense.]

in the grand scheme of things sometimes you need to take a few hits however unfortunate it may seem.
I personally think this will be the end of the attacks from the LTTE. i think they wanted to show MR & the GOSL the capabilities before Tamil chelvan released his press release today.
