Tamils run to LTTE areas from SLA controlled areas, sail to India in delipidated boats risking their lives and to the South because 1. SLA and paramilitaries abduct, extort money and kill them, 2. Basic foodstuffs are prevented from reaching them and escape from starvation, 3. Their homes are occupied by the SLA/SLN The army check points have the statistics of people leaving and entering LTTE areas. The army has closed check points to stop movements of civilians and essentials. You must withdraw the army/navy from Northeast and see if Tamils still want to live in the South. |
