I was saying earlier, for the sake of `religion` .. its proper practice .. our Budhist priests should take themselves to the Temple, and pursue with their `calling` which is `renunciation` .. devoting time and energy to enter, and proceed along the `path` towards extinction .. and Nibbana.
Pursuit for and on behalf of their lay-supporters, getting involved in matters more appropriate to lay-men is the `mahayanic` character of budhism .. strictly to be shunned by budhist priests. But at this time, faced with a `blood-thirsty` enemy, we may have to welcome our budhist priests to join with us, in meeting the challenge we face. They have the rhetoric, and can `fire` the imagination of the Sinhala people to resist .. to fight ..
I now believe the JHU has a role to play in the emerging situation - which must be faced, and won.
