Rekhawa and Gamperaliya are my favourite films of Singhala cinema.
Unfortunately I have not seen any of Prassana Vithanage or Asoka Handagama, but I believe they are quite good.
Talking about art ,cinema and Tamil culture I was once amazed to learn from Gaja Lakshmi, one of the Tamil members of this forum that she did not know who Picasso was when he was working at Air Lanka head office in Sri Lanka. When somebody asked about Picasso from her she apparently admitted her ignorance but had said that she knew Sai Baba instead. So I asked her if she even knew who George Keyte was. She thought that he was some top guy in Air Lanka. Now these are the so called Tamil intellectuals who were not discriminated at university entrance, but big time LTTE supporters.
