The President in his address to Parliament recently stated that there are no majority and minority and that the only two groups are Patriots and non Patriots.In the post LTTE era with the need to resolve the ethnic question politically, there can be only two groups-the moderates and the extremists.The President should sideline the extremists (Budumaga and Rathumaga)and join hands with the UNP which has consistently advocated devolution even when SLFP opposed it in 1987.
