It is extreamly important for the govt. to recognise once and for all that they can not please every one on a political package. The extream elements such as JHU and the JVP whos voter base is probably less than 5% can not dictate to the govt. if the vast majority is pleased with what they want to offer. It is encouraging to note that the UNP as in the past always assured their support for a political package.
If the govt. tries to bow down to the extream elements, their will not be the icing on the cake of war victory.
