[what about Nagasaki & Hiroshima]
It ended the second world war. Had only the US possessed nuclear weapons today, there shall be no talks of disarmament. Since many countries have acquired their own nuclear capabilities today, now there are seemingly independent bodies protesting against nuclear weapons. UN has non-proliferation treaty. Same goes for the slavery, child labour etc.
