[Cant access defence.lk as per impartial`s last post its under attack.]
exactly it seems some one using a tool to generate a abnormal user load to penetrate defence.lk,some thing like a loadrunner which can create 1000`s of virtual users and put site under enormous user load,it is much easier work to do than doing a brute force kind of attack,which you probable break password and user id.i informed this to defence.lk including gota,no idea what buggers still doing.
