[This business of 1000s of TamilNadu youths joining and Rapid Deployment Force coming etc are all yarns by my good friend EELamaya. ]
I also thought Eelamya was just making this up to annoy the Sinhalese. I just returned from Tamil Nadu and the pro Tamil Eelam feeling is so high in Tamil Nadu now. Some guys came and asked us how can they go to Vanni and join the LTTE. Many Tamil nadu Tamils we met said the same thing. They said, Prbahakaran is like a god in Tamil Nadu villages, in one single day 10,000 Tamil Nadu boys will land in Vanni if Prabhkaran gives a signal to them to come.
