Here are some differences: [[Police said three suspects were arrested]] [Acting Vice Chancellor Chandima Wijebandara who visited the scene last night told The Sunday Times the student was a victim of a long-standing dispute.] [He said they had organised monthly meetings to defuse tension between the groups, but he was sad that violence had erupted again.] This is a personal issue between 2 sets of people... it is not a riot based on the caste of the people. Also, police are investigating... the university was trying to defuse the situation... it`s not like the TN case where the police watched and then the politicians defended the police for watching! Ridiculous! |
