The forcast of 5.8% growth is still healthy w.r.t other countries. So MR Chinthanaya is doing OK, and LTTE decimation would continue. [ The IMF in its late October assessment on Sri Lanka projected the economy to grow by only 5.8% in 2009. The World Bank chief Robert B. Zoellick last week downgraded growth prospects for developing countries to 4.5% in 2009 in comparison to earlier projection of 6.4%. ] |
