More Australian cows arrive despite deaths in first batch

Despite a number of cows and their calves, in the first batch of 500 imported from Australia, dying, a second batch of 1,500 Australian milking heifers will reach Sri Lanka today (09) to increase the milk production in the country.

I'm in SL these days and I have a better picture of what is going around in the country. Regarding your comment abt Basil, with Divinaguma bill passed, he will be very popular among the poor in the future. And this bill will definitely help the poor ... Yes I too agree that Namal is famous among the youth... But I dont think he is famous among the poor comparing to Basil.. Namal is becoming popular among Tamil youth in North and East
Basil can definitely become a presidential candidate in the future :) |

Canadian Asylum Bum: You should be thankful to the Sri Lankans Customs Authority, only last week they apprehended 7 tons of Karole (Salted dry fish) which was unfit for human consumption from India being trans - shipped to western countries through Sri Lanka. Canada included here.
But, then again, I'm sure the asylum bum would have been in his element if he'd been given the chance to handle some of this unfit dry fish.
We all know how this crooked asylum Bum likes to deceive people don't we??, he nearly posted 12.000 postings in LNP hiding his Country of origin, that was until Mr B put a stop to the lying toe rag's ways. If this lying toe rag had been given the opportunity handle this unfit karole in his cold basement in Canada I'm sure he would have repackaged it and sold it on to the Wethamiza as Watalappan. |

Sri Lankan President and Govt Did NOTHING to Save Rizana Nafeek s Life Except to Issue Valueless Statements AHRC
(Text of statement issued by the Asian Human Rights Commission on the Execution of Ms. Rizana Nafeek)
According to reports received, the Government of Saudi Arabia has executed Ms. Rizana Nafeek (1988 9 January 2013) today. The embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh has confirmed this report.
Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) wishes to categorically state, that the singular responsibility for this innocent young Sri Lankan woman s death is upon the President of Sri Lanka, Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksha. His office and the government led by him shamelessly neglected the life of this innocent Sri Lankan woman, who remained incarcerated aboard since May 2005.
At the time when she was charged with the alleged crime, Rizana was only 17 years of age, and was soon sentenced to death by a Saudi court, in proceedings that the court held of which Rizana had no informed consent.
The Government of Sri Lanka or the office of the President did nothing to save Rizana s life, despite calls for assistance from Rizana s family and from the global civil society. Passing off as concerns, the Government of Sri Lanka did nothing, except issuing valueless statements relating to this case.
All Sri Lankans should regard today as a day of shame.
