The Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) had an urgent meeting today (Saturday) in relation to various print media reports over a sex scandal at the SLC head office.
A statement by the board said that Sri Lanka Cricket takes serious note of the allegations which also tarnishes the good image and the reputation of Sri Lanka Cricket.
SLC as an institution shall not condone any such acts of misconduct if proven correct, and will take all steps which are necessary to bring the culprits to book. On the contrary, if such allegations are found to be false, SLC will also take steps to ensure that such persons who made these allegations are brought before the Disciplinary Committee for appropriate action, the cricket board said.
Sri Lanka Cricket also said it regrets the undue publicity which has been created. The Executive Committee having taken all the circumstances into account has decided to hand over the matter to their Disciplinary Committee for immediate inquiry and report, following which subsequent action as deemed necessary will be taken.
Due to the serious nature of the media reports the Disciplinary Committee has been tasked to forward their findings on the said matter latest by Monday 27th August 2012, the cricket board statement said.

The wife of UNP MP Palitha Range Bandara is currently receiving treatment at the Sri Jayawardenapura hospital, after she was said to have been assaulted by the MP
The incident had occurred following an argument with the MP this morning.
The UNP MP is currently giving a statement to the Mirihana police, sources said
Highly placed hospital sources said that the wife of the MP would remain in hospital for further investigations.
She has been physically assaulted but there are no major injuries. We will be carrying out further medical examinations the source said. Meanwhile MP Palitha Range Bandara has denied assaulting his wife.
There was an argument this morning and that was it. She has falsely gone and said that I assaulted her which is untrue. I didn t assault her. She fell down and that is what she is making out to be as an assault he said.
When asked if the MP was contemplating divorce he said that he had no such intention.
As the old Sinhala adage goes, domestic issues between husbands and wives last only until the pot of rice gets cooked. Pawul prashna thiyenne batha idenakan withraine so I have no intentions of divorce, he said |

SLC and Sports ministry are HORA GUHAWAL.
One former minister was involved in sending people to Alaska and his henchmen organized those activities within the ministry grounds.
another ministry used ministry funds to give partied to supporters.
This minister did not know SLC losing it's money and the hard drive of the computer which had stored all those information.
The latest was the ministry attended London - Olympic with 30 officials for SEVEN athletes. The delegation included totally unrelated people.
Now this which should be very common in Sri Lanka.
Women behaves as W22222hores and men are pimps whether they are married or not or responsible people or just nobody.
The most important thing is that SL - PResident likes this minister very much (for some reason). |

There was a tradition that both the PAC and the COPE were chaired by senior members of the opposition, however unfortunately that is no longer in practice. Further the Department of Government Audit is not autonomous and is under a line ministry and a minister.
This shows how the SL - govts support CORRUPTION and THEFTS by their own.
IT is has become very popular since JRJ's time (who began it) and every president since JRJ is letting that happen. This govt looks as the PEAK.
Earlier COPE was chaired by an OPPOSITION - MP, but now by a GOVT MP.
Besides, AUDITOR GENERAL DEPARTMENT IS NOT INDEPENDENT. Auditor is appointed by a minister. |
