Bangladesh monk arrested in Kandy

A Bangladesh monk was arrested last night for allegedly keeping 2820 illegally imported cigarettes in his possession in the Susimarama temple in Daulagala, Kandy, police said.
Police is to produce the suspect to the Kandy Magistrate Court and the Daulagala police are conducting further investigations

Perhaps this Monk may have brought these cigarettes when he arrived in Sri Lanka, for his personal use!
If at the airport he was not searched and arrested for bringing in illegal cigarettes, why should the Police take the job of the Customs???
