IGP assures Hirunika he will look into reports that Duminda is back
Police Chief N.K.Illangakoon has assured Hirunika Premachandra, daughter of slain politician Bharatha Laksman Premachandra that he will look into reports that Parliamentarian Duminda Silva, wanted in connection with the killing, had returned to the country.
She had raised the issue after an unusual VIP movement was witnessed at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) early Friday morning.
Although Airport authorities denied any VIP movement, at least five defender vehicles including Special Task Force (STF) jeeps were seen speeding away from the BIA after the arrival of a flight at about 12.55 a.m. Mr. Silva has been receiving treatment in Singapore since late last year for gunshot injuries in the head sustained during a shootout that killed Mr. Premachandra.

Sri Lanka Import $ 4 billion worth Powdered milk.
Wickremasinghe said that Sri Lanka had been spending around US$ 4,000 million dollars annually to import powdered milk, but such expenditure could be reduced to a great extent if the liquid milk was promoted locally.

I think, that any one who has the name either Rajapakse or Wickrama singhe has a very respectable job or highly paid job in Sri Lanka.

I also heard this - they are going to bring more cows.
But, we don't know what they are going to do with the cows, whether they go to the butcher from the rear side.
Other wise, Fonterra and Milco will be competing for the same fresh milk market or what will happen.
IF the Milco is govt, will it allow MUDWAPU - KIRI like products to go extinct ?

Poor Percy had to cancel his Olympic Tour with his cronies through fear at the last moment and Britain refused to given him protection.
There is a guy who claims to be a pundit and claims he has very inside information, denied and even humiliated me and proudly announced that Percy never EVER planned to go to London.
Percy is a man who will never EVER miss these free trips with his cronies as he is the only so-called leader who enjoys the position most at tremendous cost to the poor people.

Sri Lanka bought tickets for the ongoing Olympic Games in London to the tune of Rs. 7 million, but who got the tickets is a mystery.
The Sunday Times learns that the National Olympic Committee had given complimentary tickets to more than 30 people.
But there were hardly any Sri Lankans on the stands, when Lankans were competing.
However NOC President Hemasiri Fernando said Sri Lanka purchased tickets to the value of Rs. 7 million and had sold the tickets.
On Friday, he said he was looking for the file to get the names, but yesterday also he said the information was not available.
Mr. Fernando said he could not remember the number of tickets purchased.
The prices of the tickets range from 35 pounds to 200 pounds depending on the event and the venue.
Meanwhile, a top track and field official said two former officials were offered complementary tickets from the Sports Ministry, but no tickets were offered to the current officials. We did not even raise the issue, as it is a mafia that is operating, he said.

But King can travel to Iran, Cuba....may be couple of African countries.

Waste of money. Give free food to village school kids who eat only once a day meal!
