Rajapakse Govt. plunges Ports , Railways and CTB into chaos and crises
The Gen. secretary of the Samastha Lanka railway workers general service association, Sumathipala Manawadu says , it was the need of swindling officials in the Ceylon petroleum Corporation (CPC )that were being fulfilled with political patronage in the import and supply of inferior quality fuel for some time.
At the media discussion held on the 2nd noon at the Fort Samastha Lanka railways workers general services Association office organized by union representatives of Ports, Railways and transport , Manawadu said , until now , about 36 trains had been brought to a grinding halt mid way.
When inferior quality fuel was imported on the earlier occasion it precipitated a most grave fuel crisis . While that history is still fresh in mind , getting down another consignment of inferior fuel from the same Singapore Co. is definitely an index that there is an underlying serious concerted racket .Already 36 trains are out of commission , and this is because the inferior fuel damages the filters through formation of residues. The cost of an injector pump so damaged is Rs. 20 lakhs .
Magodiya doing well !
