A 48-year-old Sri Lankan man, said to be the clothes supplier to the LTTE, had been deported by Australia and was arrested on arrival at Katunayake airport in the early hours of this morning (July 26).
Four Australian immigration officials escorted Dayan Anthony and handed him over to local officials, who gave him into the custody of the CID for questioning, said police spokesman SP Ajith Rohana.
From Kayts and also a resident of Negombo, he had gone to Bangkok on a valid passport in 2010, and again gone there on a fake passport two years later, while there was an arrest warrant issued against him by the Negombo courts.
From there, he had gone to Australia and gave evidence before a UN committee against the Sri Lankan government, but had been refused asylum.
This is what Half Breds do.
