The killing of 12 women in Kahawatte (in the Ratnapura district) in the recent past had terrorized the residents in the area, and the killing of two women (a mother and a daughter) last Thursday, has brought-on the fear of more terror for the people of Kahawatte.
The police suspect that a relative could be the mastermind behind another double murder at Kotakethana, Kahawatta, where the charred bodies of a widow and her daughter were found on July 19, in the early hours of the morning.
