today consolidated his position at the party helm , after the party s Working Committee did away with the annual secret ballot for the election
of its leader and other office bearers, and instead decided to hold it only once in six years

Four members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) including the Akuressa Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman have been sacked from their posts and the party over allegations of having molested children and women.

Health Minister Maithripala Sirisena told a news conference today they had taken strict disciplinary action against provincial council members and chairmen who are alleged to sexually molested women and children.

The government has been criticized because of the misdeeds of some members including the Akuressa Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman and some provincial councilors. I assure you that we have taken strict disciplinary action against them and we have stripped them off of their posts and removed them from the party, he said.

I assure you that we have taken strict disciplinary action against them and we have stripped them off of their posts and removed them from the party, he said.The minister said the government had given strict orders to the police and the child protection authority to act without fear or favour.Mr. Sirisena said there was no doubt about the government winning the forthcoming PC elections

Hiks....such a desperate moron cant even read what is in the article.........it says politicians....that's why they have kicked out from the party....the legal process is a different matter...

and all the cases that reported are processing with law...unlike Thrassia.....hiks....

Who were the other people involved...????

According to rear hole theory... every house and school must have a police post to prevent such cases.....
